YACHTING.
The Canterbury Yacht and Motor-Boat Club, Lyttelton, held two Bailing- race* in tho harbour on Saturday afternoon, over a set course. The boats were favoured with a light north-east wind and a smooth sea. Following are tiro results : For Yachts not exceeding 18ft over all— Alpha, Bmin, 1; Kiwi, scr, 2; Pakeha, 2min, 3. Alpha won by lmin lOsec from Kiwi. For Yachts 18ft over all—Viking, 17min, 1; Onawe, 14ruin, 2; Kia Ora, scr, 3; Betina, 21min, 4. Viking won by 27sec.
