Reports from the flooded districts state that heavy rain continues, v and that the rivers are rising rapidly. Large areas of low-lying country have been inundated, and railway communication is badly interrupted. Big floods are anticipated in all lower lying parts. Rockhampton is covered with water, the Warrego River at Charlevillo is over the bridges, and the country round is inundated. At Augathella the water is knee-deep in the main street. There is rough weather on the coast, and the shipping is sheltering.
