TRAMS FOR GISBORNE.
[Per Press Association.] GISBORNE, December 14. Mr W. D. Lysnar, Mayor of Gisborne, received a public welcome today on his return from England. He mentioned that he had brought back a contract signed by the Edison Storage Battery Company for municipal trams, and also Edison’s guarantee, and if the Council approved, the installation would be gone on with immediately.
