ST PATRICK'S COLLEGE.

[Per Press Association.] WELLINGTON, December 13. At St Patrick's College prize distribution to-night Dr Kennedy, the rector, announced the result of the competition for two college entrance scholarships of £2O a year each for four years, offered through the generosity of Mr Martin Kennedy. These scholarships have been won by Patrick Hanrahan, of Ashburton, and John Bally, of the Marist School, Wellington. It was announced that through the generosity of another Wellington Catholic gentleman, whose identity is not disclosed, the College is able to offer a number of new scholarships, net as entrance scholarships, but to be gained by students of the College itself. A sum of £4O or £SO would be available annually, and it was intended to divide it into' four or five scholarships of £lO each.
