The s.s. John Anderson will run excursion trips from Lyttelton to Purau on Friday, and the Cygnet will make a sjiecial trip from Pigeon Bay t<> Lyttelton. returning to Pigeon Bay in ths evening.
A special meeting of the Canterbury branch of the Amalgamated Society of Railway Servants will be held in the Friendly Societies' Hall, to-morrow evening to discuss tho report of the Railways Committee to the House of Representatives on the claim of the Enginemen, Firemen and Cleaners' Association.
