The band contest was resumed this morning. The tenor ■trombone competition, resulted:— Walling (Petone), 114 points, 1; S. Trownson (Wanganui), 100 points, 2; Gray (Wanganui), 108 points, 3. Tho side drum competition resulted: —Donovan (Gisborne), 83 points, 1; Hindley (Nelson), 78 points, 2; Robinson (Manaia) 75 points, 3. The first test selections will be played to-night. ■
