POLO.
ANNUAL TOURNAMENT. [Per Press Association’.] WELLINGTON. January 21. At a general meeting of the New Zealand Polo Association to-day, it was decided that the annual tournament, to be held at Christchurch, should commence on Saturday, March 12. Entries will close on February 6. Tt is expected that ten teams will compete for the Bavile Cup. A polo match will be played at Timaru to-day between tho Christchurch and Timaru Polo Clubs. Tho Christchurch ponies were sent down by train yesterday, and (be players will make tho trip by motorcar this morning. The following are the teams: —Christchurch —Dr Fox, Dr Maitland. T. L. Cowlishaw. G. L. Stead; Tinmru —A. S. Elworthv, H. Elworthv, P. Ehvorthy, J. C. Miller.
