NEW ZEALAND ASSOCIATION. ANNUAL TOURNAMENT. [Per Press Association.] DUNEDIN, January 21. The New Zealand Bowling Association's tournament ivs'b continued to-day, when the singlos championship concluded, and the rinlis championship was all but finished, only seven heads remaining to bo played, and the doubles were well advanced. The weather was fine until late in the afternoon, when a little rain foil. In the final to decide the winner of the St Hilda green Caledonian (Smith) 22 beat Dunedin (Findlay) 12. On the Kaituna green in the final Canterbury (Saxton) 25 beat Taieri (Carswell) 20. The green winners thon met to fight out the finals in the first round. Fairfield (M’Lauchlan) 16 beat Dunedin (Gillies) 13, and the others had byes. At the conclusion of the game Fairfield v. Dunedin a member of the latter rink challenged the Fairfield bowls and a test showed that four of them were too narrow. Fairfield were, therefore, disqualified, and the game awarded to Dunedin, but the latter, content with asserting a principle, retired from the contest. RINK TOURNEY. ■ Seoond Round. Caledonian (Smith) 17 beat Canterbury (Saxton) 14. North Enjd (Service) 22 beat Southland (Smith) 15. United (Brown) 15 beat Taieri (M'lntyre) 14. ! Roslyn (Wcddcrspoon) a bye. Semi-final. North End 30 beat Caledonian 16. Roslyn -23 beat United 17. In the final fourteen heads were played when darkness .stopped the game, at that stage, North End leading by 13 points to 12. The game will bo finished to-morrow. DOUBLES. The following, who were green winners, continued to play:—Dunedin (Dali), Dunedin (Foster), Dunedin (Walker). Dunedin (Scott), Dunedin (Hogg), Caversham (M’Gregor), Waimate (Morgan), Kaituna (Payne), Kaitangata (Hislop), Canterbury (Saxton), Caledonian (Scott), Roslyn (Scott), Victoria (Risdale).
