Showers delayed the resumption of play in the match between the Australian eleven and Warwickshire for an hour, and when a start was made the wcatheV was dull and tho wicket easy. Lilley added a single to his overnight e,core, and was then caught at short leg by Hartigan, the fieldsman falling forward in taking tho catch. Five for 151. Stephens gave a difficult chance to Armstrong in Whitty's first over, before he had scored, and then after making one was caught low down in the slips. Six for 155. Before any addition had, been made to the score Quaifo was stupidly run out, Trumper making a smart return from short leg. He batted for 165 minutes, and hit five fours. The wicket was now treacherous and kicking. Foster was dismissed first ball, hitting out at O'Connor. Eight for 155. Hargreaves hit out at everything, and gavo a couple of chances to VVhitty and Carkcek before being bowl--80 by O'Connor. Tho ninth wicket fell at 174, and soon after Whitty bowled Field, and the innings closed for 185.
