Tlio match between tho Australians and Warwickshire was continued today in dull weather but on a good wicket. The overnight batsmen opened steadily, and Noble carried his score to ]3l before being dismissed by a catch at the wickets. He gave a display of faultless all-round cricket, and hatted for 105 minutes. He hit eleven fours. Six for 402. Hopkins sent up a skier to Pridmore, who accepted the catch. Seven for 4-16. Carkeck lost his wicket in jumping out to hit Quaifo. Eight for 450. Armstrong was taken at third slip without any alteration of the total. He hit five fours. Whitty was dismissed by n catch at .second slip, and the innings closed lor 456. After luncheon rain delayed the resumption of play. Charleswc-rth lost his wicket owing to a smart return by Whitty from raid-on, when tho total was 23. Three runs later Fishwick played Hopkins on off his foot. Quaifo carried the score to 64, when rain caused anotner adjournment of thirty-five minutes. Kinneir hatted for .ninetyfive minutes and showed good form. The third wicket fell at 9(5 and the fourth at 109. Quaifo played a steady resourceful game. He gave a sharp chance to Armstrong in the slips off O'Connor whon he had scored 20.
