A “day’6 doings” in the Homes will bo illustrated by the bugle., and the fine transformation shields will be deftly manipulated by the lads, isnnilar services in many places have not only been invariably crowded but have produced a very deep, impression m favour of the great work of the Barnardo Homes. A final musical meeting is to lie held on Monday evening in the Sydenham Mission Hall, Colombo Street. The sum of £3OO has already been raised in Christchurch and Mr Mayers hopes that the additional £l6O to secure the cost of two beds in the new hospital will be forthcoming before he proceeds to Wellington on Thursday. The proceeds of the meeting at Kaiapoi were about £3O, -and at Rangiora a sum of £43 Is mas raised. Mr Mayers will preach at St Andrew’s Presbyterian Church at 11 a.m., and at St Paul’s Presbyterian Church »t 6.30 p.m. to-morrow.
