Apcar, for shipment to India, his owner made it a condition tKat he should be allowed to start tho colt in iha Rous Handicap on the last day of the Australian Jookey Club's meeting. Ho was galloped on in tho race and cut about to such an extent thai the sale was declared off. Subsequently Mt Apcar's representative seemed Keith for 2000 guineas. The field for this year's Liverpool Grand National Steeplechase numbered thirty-two, which equals the best record for tho race.
