SITTING AT WANGANUI. [Peb Press Association.] WANGANUI, April 26. The North Island Railway Appeal ; Board oommenced its sittings here to- ', day. Alfred Watson, late guard at Waii ouru, who was dismissed on the ground of insubordination, applied for a miti- ' gation of the punishment. Appellant, .■while at Waiouru, had been obliged to clean out the urinals, and on' the stafcionmaster .complaining that the work had been neglected he lost his temper, and made use of insulting language, •for which he was suspended, dismissal ' following. The Board reserved its cision.J. A. Shelton, shunter at Marton, appealed against his dismissal for his connection with a collision which took place at Marton oh February 2, 1909. Appellant contended that he was not to blamo for the collision.
