FOOTBALL.
At Lancaster Park to-morrow afternoon the llrs t series of matches in the Canterbury Rugby Union’s senior competition will be played. Old Boys will meet Sydenham, on the east ground; Albion ‘and Christchurch will play on the west ground, and Linwood and Canterbury College will meet on the south ground. Play will begin at 3 p.m. , The annual meeting ox the n annate Rugby Sub-Union was held on Monday evening. The balance-sheet showed a credit balance of £lO. Officers were elected as follows:—President, Mr C. J. (loldstono; vice-presidents, The Rev Father Tymons, and Messrs W. Lee and Rattray; secretary and treasurer, Mr L.
