This morning the Pateena will arrive from 'Wellington in place of the Mararoa, which jU laid up in Lyttelton to havo her jlirokjn thrust shaft repaired*. Captain Ald;yoli wiU bring the Pateena to Lyttelton, but (We he will give placo to Captain Manning, I*l the Mararoa, who will run the Patoena tonfil his own Bteamer is again available, •xho Manuka is due this morning from SydW via Wellington direct. The Kittavva is [taking up the Pukaki’a running from Dun,edin to the West Coast via Wellington. The Row steamer Kurow is expected l to leave ' England for New Zealand at an early date. i The s.s*. Wootton arrived at Kaiapoi yesterday from Lyttelton. The E'sa has been still further delayed In her discharging operations, and now cannot sail till this evening. The Tyser steamer Nor eh ana, having recently reached London from New Zealand, is to leave again on May 5 for Australia and New Zealand. The Shaw, Savill and Albion Company’s steamer Arawa has about 800 tons of cargo for Lyßelton, and is expected to arrive from Wellington on Sunday. The Rob Roy is expected to reach Lyttelton from Havelock this morning, to load for Wellington. The present arrangements provide that the Den of Ruthven, loading grain at Lyttelton on behalf of tho Shaw, Savill and Albion Company, will sail to-morrow for Timaru, Port Chalmers and the Bluff. The Federal-Houlder-iShire steamer Buteshire, which is loading for London under tho orders of the New Zealand Shipping Company, arrived at Lyttelton yesterday morning from Wellington. She will probably complete faking the [Lyttelton consignment of meat, etc., in time to sail on Tuesday. The Ulimaroa is definitely expected to come out of dock early next week. Only one tank, No. 3, remains to be tested, and it is tho uncertainty whether the workmanship in it is perfectly sound which prevents tho exact day being stated for the steamer’s release. The period allowed Messrs Anderson for the work was forty working days, and the contract was signed on Mareh 11. The time will therefore not be np till Thursday, and tho contractors have plenty of time in hand. When the patching and riveting has been tested, there will he about forty-eight hoursf work returning the bunker coal to the steamer. TELEGRAPH NOTICE BOARD. WELLINGTON, April 22.
