WORK ON THE MIDLAND RAILWAY. ; The officer in charge of the Christchurch Labour Bureau stated yesterday morning that no authority had been received yet from the head department to send any men. to the Midland railway works. The authority would be given to the Wellington head office by the Minister, and then would be forwarded to the Christchurch branch.
