SOUTH AFRICAN VISITORS. [Per Press Association.] WELLINGTON, April 20. As a result of negotiations a team of Association footballers representing the South African Association will visit Australia and New Zealand next year. The programme to be arranged by tbe New Zealand Association will embrace two or three matches weekly. The visitors will get all their expenses paid, and the profits, if any, will go to the New Zealand Association. The Ashburton County Rugby Union has decided to establish a competition for schools in tho county of Ashbur'ton. Entries for the competition will close on May 1 and there will be no charge for entrance. Tho annual meeting of the Ashburton Association Football Club was held on Tuesday evening with Mr F. R. Knight in the chair. The balance sbeet was presented and showed a small credit balance, and assets amounting to £3 19e 9d. The report stated that the future of the club depended in some measure upon whether the Saturday half-holiday was. carried. The election of officers was deferred. BOYS’ HIGH SCHOOL.
