GERALDINE. \ A monthly meeting of the Geraldina County Council was held on Thursday; present.—Messrs G. J. Dennistoun (chairman), A. Kelman, B. R. Macdonald, W. Dixon, A. Metcalf, D. Grant and Armitage. On the motion.' of Mr Armitage, it was resolved that a rate of one farthing in the pound should he struck for the year 'ending March 31, 1910. The engineer report® ed that the first pile in the Opilii Bridge, Main Road, and all the piles for the Hanging Rockj Bridge had been driven, andj the capsules set. The timber fod the bridge had also been delivered.) The work on the Hanging Rock Road; was proceeding slowly, but in a satis-! factory manner. The work of eningthe Raiucliff Bridge had beeTSi completed. Mr W. Nosworthy wrote,/ statiug that he would support ail/ amendment to the I.ocal Bodies Loana Act, as indicated by the Council-.
