CHARITABLE AID BOARD.

The Charitable Aid Board met yesterday; present—Messrs F. Sorrell (chairman), D. M’Millan, B. P. Manliire, J. Davison, G. W. J. Parsons, W. ltadclilte, C. J. Harper, G. Bodford, J. Wolfe, Major Burgess and Mrs Dunkley.

The chairman reported that the question of supplies for the Ashburton and Memorial Homo annexes had been referred to a sub-committee. The Samaritan Homo Trustees had amended their requisition, but so far no information had been received by the Board respecting the amount of voluntary contributions.

The report was adopted. The treasurer’s statement from February 20 to April 16 showed receipts from local bodies £1509 4s lid, rents, I refunds, etc., £ll4 18s sd, old age pensions £217 4s 7d, receipts from trust accounts £1372 16s, and subsidy £1216 ] 2s 2d, totalling £4430 6s Id.
