The steamer ltakaia, tho first ocean liner to enter the ( harbour, opening Nelson to direct trado with the great markets of the world, entered the new cut with this morning’s tide -fely and successfully, and was skilfully-berthed at the Wharf by Captain Collins, the pilot. A great crowd was at the wharf and on the surrounding hills, and cheers were fiven. The officers will be entertained y the Chamber of Commerce this afternoon, and the captain will receive a souvenir presentation. The Rakaia will
