C Bates’s weather forecast to 3 p.m. to-day: “Mbderate to strong easterly winds are probable north of New Plymouth, and increasing northerly winds elsewhere. Barometer fall everywhere for a probable change in the weather in eoutheru and western districts of the South Island after abour eute-u hours, and then, extending northwaris." MR PAULIN’S FORECAST. Mr Paulin’s prediction, telegraphed yesterday, was as follows: —Strong north-west to south-west winds; fine for about twenty-four hours. Barometer fall.
