PERSONAL.

The Prime Minister will remain in Rotorua till February 17 or 18. Though largely occupied with departmental work, he is enjoying a rest from his more arduous duties, and has been much benefited by the respite. On leaving Rotorua he will return to Auckland. Messrs Fred Montague, A. Armstrong and A. H. Seville (Wellington), and A. H. Dimant (Melbourne) are in Christchurch. The Rev R. S. Gray, who has been spending a month’s holiday at Taieri Moutli, returned to Christchurch yesterday. The Rev Edmondson Webb, who has been appointed vicar of Courtenay, will bo installed by Bishop Julius at St Matthew’s Church, Courtenay, this evening, at 7.30. The North Canterbury Education Board yesterday received and accepted tho following resignations:—Miss A. G. M’Gettriek, mistress at Awaroa; Mr F. T. Evans, first assistant-master, Gloucester Street; Mr W. H. Pike, master, Rolleston; Miss D. Nicbolls, mistress, Waikari; Miss M. Wills, as-sistant-mistress, Waltham; Miss H. Curd, assistant-mistress, Ashburton; Mr T. E. Cutler, master, Invell; Mr D. M. Shirlaw, assistant-master, Opawa; Miss J. lteese, assistant-mis-tress, Waltham. The No-rtli Canterbury Education Board has made tho following appointments: —Christchurch West.—Miss N. Wenmouth, pupil-teacher of the third year, with two years’ service. Dorie. — Miss R. Bunz, mistress. Linwood.— Headmaster, Mr F. T. Evans; first assistant master, Mr D. M. Shirlaw; first assistant-mistress, Miss M. Wills; second assistant-mistress, Miss A. E. Inkpen; and as pupil-teachers of the third year, with two years’ service, Miss G. Fitch and Mr W. A. Foster. New Brighton. Assistant-mistress, Miss I. Jamieson. Christchurch West. —Mr C. W. Allard, third assistantmaster. Mackenzie.—Mr T. E. Cutler, master. Marshland.—Miss E Rogers, mistress.
