LEE3TON. There was a fair attendance at the Leest-on market on Friday, and bidding for most lines v«aa fairly spirited and competition keen. ThOio was only a small entry of sheep, and the. quality was generally indifFeront. One pen or fat lambs-of fair quality made lls 9d, and other pens from 11s to 14s. One lino of two-tooth wethers, which were the best varded this, season, was passed in. at 18s. There wore 80 fat pigs penned, and there appeared to bo a better demand for them than at recent sales. Baconers made from 4ns to 60s, equal to 5d per lb, porkers" from 35s to 465,- equal to 5-id per lb. In tire, store pens' there wore. 127*. .mostly small wen tiers, which brought from 7s to'Bs, and a few stronger stores* sold at from lfte to Ojs. There were 81. head of cattle yarded. Fat cows made from £s.to £6 2s and springing heifers front £5 10s to £7 15s. One lino of 41 two-year-old hotfer/a made £2. • AMBER LEY. At* the Amberloy market yesterday there was a yarding of *SOO sheep. Fat lambs made 13s 3d to Ids ‘id, tat wethers 16s 7d to 180 4d, fat ewes 10s to 14s 6d, store lambs 7 a Id to 8s 3d, sound-mouth half-bred ewes 10s to 12s Od, old owes 6s (id to 9s, sound-mouth merino ewes 4s p ßd.
