THE MUNICIPAL BATHS.
SOME NEW REGULATIONS.
The City Council last evening received and adopted a report of tho Baths Committee, making regulations to operate in addition to the by-law previously passed for the government of the Municipal Baths. The regulations are as follow:—The baths shall be open to the public from 6 a.m. between September 1 and April 30, and from I a.m. between May 1 and August 31. The daily sessions shall he as follow: Males—Monday, Wednesday and Thursday, from opening to 8 a.m., noon till 2 p.m., 5 p.m. till 9 p.rn.; Tuesday and Friday, from opening till 8 a.m., noon till 2 p.m., 5 p.m. till 7 p.m.; Saturdu.y, from opening till 8 a.m., 2.30 p.m. till 6 p.m., 7 p.m. till ft p.m. ; Sunday, 8 a.in. till 9.30 a.m. Females—Monday and Thursday, from 9.30 a.m. till 11 a.m., 2.30 p.m. till 4 p.m.; Tuesday and Friday, from 9.30 a.m. till 11 a.m., 2.30 p.m. till 4 p.m., 7 p.m. till 9 p.m.; Wednesday and Saturday, from 9.30 a.m. till 11 a.m. On Christmas Day, New Year’s Day and Good Friday the baths shall be closed all day. Towels, costumes and trunks must he returned to the caretaker after hiro. No fruit or nuts will be allowed within the bath premises. All bathers must use the shower bath and thoroughly cleanse themselves before thev enter the swimming pool. The City Council will not be responsible for the safe custody of any bicycle left on the bath premises. The swimming hath may be closed for cleaning or reserved for swimming sports at any time the City Council or the Baths Committee may decide. The baths will he formally opened on Thursday, at 7.30 p.m., and a programme of swimming sports will follow tho opening ceremony.
