THE FIRE ON THE TURAKINA [Per Press Association.] WELLINGTON, October 14.
Practically all tli© water in the Turakina’s holds has now been pumped out, and the meat cargo has also been removed. General cargo is now being discharged. Certain repairs will be carried out here, and it is likely that the vessel will go into dock at Lyttelton before she leaves for London towards th© end of next month, or about the beginning of December. The insulating afresh of the cool chambers will be carried out at Home, consequently the steamer will not be able to take any.meat on her next trip.
