AQUATIC.

The annual meeting of the Tiniaru Rowing Club was held on Monday evening. There wore over fifty members present, and the, president, Mr 0. H. Tripp, was in the chair. The committee’s report stated that the total membership was 120, active members 70, honorary 40, life 10. Thanks to a very successful bazaar in July which netted £362, tho treasurer was able to show a- good balance-sheet. An overdraft of £lB9 having beer, wiped off, there was a credit balance <)/ £l5O. Mr Tripp w’as re-elected president. -Mr H. Collins, who was a very popular captain last year, and Mr G. Priest, who was equally popular and successful as secretary, w’ere unable to fill these offices again, and Messrs- A. YY. Pric« (late deputy captain) and H. il Fraser were elected, Mr M. Mahoney being re-elected treasurer. The committee was recommended to conamor tho advisableness of procuring rooms i.u town, the club-room at the hoatsheo. being inconvenient for several reasons. Competition in the races is expected to bo very keen The procession will start at Adi) p.m. The Mayor will bo commodore, and the mayoral party will afterwards pay an official visit to each of the boathouses. __________
