THE NATIONAL LEAGUE.
WELLINGTON BRANCH FORMED. [Peb Press Association.] WELLINGTON, July 23. At a publio meeting last night a branch of the National League of New Zealand was formed in. Wellington. The Premier, (speaking in support of the proposal, said that he believed that the National League movement would have the effect of impressing upon the people the fact that tho League had not been begun in a epirit of Jingoism, but that they would gain in times of .>eaeo that experience which would enable them to fight for their country and King when necessity arose. Personally ho would do all that he could, publicly and privately, to mould public opinion in this direction, on sound and politic linea.
