CARE Ob' THE CREW. The crew of the barque Vvoollahra, wrecked near Terawhiti on Sunday night, was taken in hand by Air d. W. Williams, honorary secretary of tho Wellington branch of the Shipwreck Relief Society, and Air R. W. Brown, of Samuel Brown Ltd., (agents of the Vessel), and provided with boots, clothing, otc. Tho Society its providing board and lodgings for the men until they are paid off. The amount expended for them yesterday was about £SO. A sum of £l3O and a watch and chain which Captain Andrescn entrusted to the care of his officers as they left for tho shore aro being forwarded 'to his widow at Balmain, New South Wales. Tho members of the Australasian Federated Seamen’s Union have expressed their sympathy with the seamen of the barque Woollahra in the fate that bcfel them on Sunday, resulting in the. drowning of one of their shipmates, and tho loss of their belongings. It has been decided that a shipwreck donation of £5 from tho Union funds shall be paid to each financial member that was on hoard the vessel.
