CHEVIOT COLLIE CLUB.

The annual trials in oonne-tkyn .with the Cheviot Collie Club were held _cu the TVoolshed grounds, by permission of Mr G. T. Pulley, on Friday , and Saturday, and proved very successful. On the opening day of the trials tho weather was very unpleasant, heavy rain falling during the day. Mr TV. O. Rutherford, of Montrose, officiated as judge, and, as usual, gave every satisfaction to the competitors. Saturday was a great contrast, the weather being perfect, and the trials were concluded under very favourable conditions. Some excellent performances were made, and the Cheviot Collie Club is to be congratulated on the marked success of the meeting. In addition to the usual programme, » number of profeesional men promoted a sweepstake, which was run over the same course, some splendid work being done. Messrs TV. TV. M’Rao, J. Boeomwortb, J. Little and D. Cameron worked hard to promote the interests of the club, and to them much of the success which attended the fixture is due. The following were tho results: — HEADING AND BRINGING BACK, about 680yds. First prize £l. second prizi! £2, third prize £l. Tim-—lO minutes. H. T. Lithe's Dcon, 21 points, X; A. H. Olivor'a Scott, 20 points, 2; G B. M’Rao’s Corhio, 19 points, 3. HEADING, BRINGING- BACK AND YARDING about 300yds, First prize £5, and a sweepstake of os each; second prize £2, third rriz: £l. Time—lo mi lutes. J. Little's Coy, 23 point s . 1; H. T. Little’s Doon, 25 points, 2; S. Low’s Roy, 27 podnts3. HUNT-ATTAY, WITH SLEW, about 500yds. F rst prize £4, -econd p'ire £2, th : rd prize £l. Time—S minu'es. J. Little’s Rock, 23 points, 1; F. Richardson’ s Laddie, 13 points. 2; H. T. Little’s Laddie IX., 3.
