TRAMWAY RETURNS.

THE EASTER TRAFFIC. At yesterday's meeting of the Tramway Board, the chairman (Mr W. lteece) said that the traffic returns for tho Easter holidays Bad been very satisfactory. Of course, some new lines had been constructed since Easter, 1906, but after making allowance for that, tho traffic had been very large. He thought that the service had been maintained very creditably in view of the fact that the rolling stock was far below the requirements. The traffic on Easter Monday, had been the record for one day since the Board had! assumed control of the trams. The traffic figures for the Easter holidays were as follow:
