FIRES.

The house of Mr Gourley, Lakesid*, > was destroyed by fire on Tuesday evening. There was no insurance. A fire broke out at Geraldine at two o’clock yesterday morning in a stable and wcolshed occupied Try,Mr Robert Wakely, and situated at the bacls of the Dental Institute, in Talbot ‘‘Street. When first seen it liad a strong hold of the stable, but the Brigade .turned out promptly at the alarm, and were instrumental in saving the wool shed. The stable, trap and harness, shed and contents. were completely destroyed.
