GISBORNE WOOL SALES.

[Per Press Association.] GISBORNE, March 1. At the wool sales to-day clean crossbred wool made up to 10id, whilst rough lots brought from 9d to 9Jd., Pieces and bellies sold from 7d to 7id, clean crutchings 6d to 63d, and locks 4d to 4fd. Lambs’ wool was not in very active demand, hut a clean lot made to 9Jd. For skins there waa strong competition, well saved lota bringing up to 9d per lb, whilst ordinary station skins were worth from 7}d to 8)d. Shdrt-woolled pelts in goodcondition made from Is 7d to Is lOd each. Hides were keenly sought, and went up to the high price of Bid per lb. Tallow made 24s per cwt.
