Mr and Mrs Hamilton (Fair-lie), who have just returned from a trip Home, left Christchurch by the first express train on Saturday. Mrs L. Bailey-Fisher and Miss E. Jeffrey (Ballarat) were passenger’s for the West Coast by Saturday’s train from Christchurch. Mr Mark Cohen, editor of the Dunedin "Evening Star,” left Christchurch for Dunedin on Saturday. Messrs F. R. Pratt (United States) and H. L; Swanton (Melbourne), arrived in Christchurch. on Saturday. Mr G. J. Harper (Ashburton) and Mr M. F. Johnston (Sydney) went south by the second express train on Saturday. Dr Stenhouse arrived from Dunedin by the s.s. Tahmo on Saturday morning. Mr F, de C. Malet arrived from Wellington by the s.s. Alararoa on Saturday morning. Dr and Mrs Trevor, who have been on a visit to the Old Country, arrived in Ashburton by the second express from the north on Saturday. The passengers to Hanmor on Saturday wore Mr and Mrw Sidney 0. Barraud (Christchurch) and Air. J. E. Le Rossignol UDenver, Colorado, U.S.A.). Dr Stenhouse and Mr G. Joachim left on Saturday night for Dunedin by the s.s. Alokoiu. Hia Excellency the Governor, with Captain Braithwaite, A.D.C., and Air Waterfield, private (secretary, left for Wellington by the s.s. Alararoa on Saturday night. The Revs W. Shirer and E, 0. Perry, Dr Cockayne and Air J. D. Ritchie were passengers for Wellington by the s.s. Alararoa on Saturday night.
