ENTERTAINMENTS.

The annual concert in connection with the Rangiora Catholic Church, held on Friday drew a large audience to th© Institute Hall. The programme, arranged by the Dresden Piano Company and carried out under the direction of Mr G. Gibbs Jordan, was highly appreciated. Songs were given by Misses Graham, Elsie Mutton, Messrs R. Peterson, C. Read and Ernest Schatz, and violin solos by Mr Vere Buchanan. The accompanist was Mr R. A. Horne. At the close th© Rev Father Hyland thanked the performers. A concert way given in the Leeston Town Hall on Thursday evening, under the auspices of the Leeston Town Hall Company, the performers being a number of Christchurch "ladies and gentlemen, including Misses Ruby Edgar, Blanche Densem, and Ruby Wilson, Messrs W. Densem, J. A. Hendemon, B. Knox and C. Edgar. Mrs Edgar was accompanist.
