CRICKET.
Tho annual meeting of the Linwood Cricket Club will take place tonight at the Linwood Checa Club’s rooms. The annual report shows that although there is a debt of £5 there is a fair quantity of material on hand, and. the year has therefore been prosperous, considering tho expenses of inauguration. The club had not figured prominently in tho district competitions, but had been represented in tho interpfovinoial team by Messrs S. Orchard and R. Ridley, the first-named captaining the province against Melbourne. The report thanks tho lady ■upportera of the club, who Lad provided afternoon tea ; and also the honorary members, umpires and scorers, for practical assistance.
