CANTERBURY v. OTAGO. [Pee Peess Association.] DUNEDIN, September 15. The interprovinoial hockey match Canterbury v. Ot-ago was played on the Caledonian Ground in bad weather, rain falling for a good part of the time and the ground being greasy. At the beginning a hot spell occurred in front of the Otago goal, and a corner was conceded, which Otago cleared well. Otago then attacked, but the chance was lent, and a good passing rush hy Canterbury was well stopped by Holley. The Otago then had a turn at attacking. Canterbury’® combination waa the better, but individually tbe Otago men more than hold their own. . After .a prolonged attack' Adams shot a goal. On changing ends Otago; renewed the attack, but Canterbury cleared. Some exciting play followed, and on several occasions a score seemed imminent. At length Doig equalised the scores hy shooting a goal for Canterbury. The visitors clearing well from the corner shortly after set up a strong attack, which eventually resulted in Doig again scoring what proved to be the winning goal—• Canterbury two, Otago one.

The match Addington Ladies v. Amberley Ladies, played at Sydenham Park on Saturday, resulted in a draw, neither side scoring. For Amberley Misses P. Rhodes and N. Rogers, and for Addington Miss Goodwin were the most prominent players. Mr H. Adame was referee.
