SYDNEY, September 15. , New Guinea is suffering from drought. jjast year the country was burnt up end the’ crops failed. This year was almost rainless, and there is little hope of any falling before December. The Natives are famine-stricken and some hare died of starvation. The teachers and scholars of mission stations are living on rice. Black-water fever - is increasing on the coast, and several deaths have occurred among the South Saa Island, missionaries.
