The “New York Times” says that the cruiser Des Moines will remove President Palma if the situation becomes desperate. All attempts to minimise the seriousness of *the risihg have been abandoned at (Received September 14, 10.31 p.ni.) HAVANA, September 14. : J he Cuban rebels hold all the smaller towns in the command of Santa Clara. It is reported that Guerra is advancing upon Havana in overwhelming forced A hundred American bluejackets from the cruiser Denver have landed p at Havana and camped in front of President Palma’s residence.
