The Government has consulted him on matters concerning New Guinea, because Sir William Macgregor is regarded as the best • authority. ALLEGED MURDER OF BLACKS. PORT DARWIN, June 25. The charred remains of two bodies were found near Pine Creek. Natives report that two blacks were shot by Europeans and the bodies burned. Two men, named Nolan and Turner, have boon arrested on suspicion.
