Wheat. —The English wheat markets are quiet, but firm, owing to moderate arrivals. Continental markets show a decline of 3d to fid per quarter, and American markets are a shade weaker. Cargoes are dull and rather easier. . Australian, afloat are quoted at 3Gs 9d to 31s per quarter; May shipment, 31s 34 to 31s fid. A cargo of Australian sold at 30s 9d. Australian wheat, .spot, is scarce at 32s 9d. New Zealand is firm; short berried, 31s fid to 32s fid per quarter. Flour is plow of sale at 23s 3d ex store London, and 24s 3d to 24s fid Glasgow. Butter.—The market is firm; Danish IOGs to 108 s per cwt. All Continental sorts have advanced about two shillings.
