Meetings. SEFTON-ASHLEY 1 DRAINAGE BOARD. PROPOSED LOAN. TVTOTICE is hereby given, in pursuance of IN the provisions of “ The Loca] Bodies' Loans Act. 1901,” that the Sefton-Ashley Drainage Board desires to obtain the Consent of. the Ratepayers of the Sef ton-Ashley Drainage District to the BORROWING OP A SUM OP £IOOO, for the purposes, upon the security and otherwise as hereinafter mentioned: — (1) The particular undertakings proposed are: (a)'The Erection of Effective Protective Works in sundry positions, as required, along the north bank of tho River Ashley; (b) the Erection of such Works along the banks of Stcney Creek as may bo required to prevent its overflow; and (c) the carrying out of such Works near the lower end of Fox’s Creek as may be deemed necessary to the restraining of the water within a defined channel. (2) The sum proposed to be borrowed for purpose (a) is £3300, for purpose (b) £2OO, and for purpose (c) £SOO. The proposed security for the said Loan is a special rate of one-half penny in the .£ on the capital value of all the ratable property .in the Sefton-Ashley Drainage District. Provision for repayment to be made by means of a sinking fund. (4) It is proposed to pay the cost of raising the Lean, and interest upon the Loan for the first year after the same jis raised out of the Loan itself.
