OUR LITTLE DINNERS. A DINNER FOR SIXPENCE. 1. Bacon and haricot beans. 2. Stowed fruit. Recipes.—l. Pub half a pound of haricot beans in water overnight. Boil till tender in unsalted water, say, about two hours; strain away the liquor, and place the beans in a tin with three slices of bacon on top. Bake gently for a quarter of an hour, and serve.
