Public Notices SEFTON-ASHLEY DRAINAGE BOARD. PROPOSED LOAN. NOTICE is hereby given, in pursuance _ of the provisions of “ The Lqcal Bodies' Loans Act, 1901,” that the Sefton-Ashtey Drainage Board desires to obtain the Consent of the Ratepayers of the Sefton-Ashioy Drainage District to the BORROWING OP A 'SUM OP £IOO3, for the purposes, upon tho security and otherwise as hereinafter mentioned:— (1) The particular undertakings proposed are; (a) The Erection of Effective Protective AYorks in sundry positions, as required, along tho north bank of tho River Ashley; (b) the Erection of such Works along the banks of Stoney Creek as may be required to prevent its overflow; and (c) the carrying out of such . Works near tho lower end of Pox’s Creek as may be deemed necessary to the restraining of the water within a defined channel. (2) Tho sum proposed to be borrowed for purpose (a), is £3300, for purpose (b) £2OO, and for purpose (c) £SOO. . ' (3) The proposed security for the said Loan is a special rate of one-half penny in the £ on tho capital valua of all the ratable property in tho Sefton-Ashley Drainage District. Provision for repayment to ho mads by moans of a sinking fund. (4) It is proposed to pay the cost of rais- , ing the Loan, and interest upon the Loan for the first year after tho same is raised out of tho Loan itself.
