“ THE EARL AND THE GIRL." On Monday evening, at the Theatre Royal, Mr John F. Sheridan’s Musical! Comedy Company will open _ a short season in .Christchurch, the initial performance being on© of London’s latest successes, “The Earl and the . Girl.” The company is a particularly strong one, and wherever it has appeared, the receptions accorded to all the mem- . bens of the combination have been most enthusiastic. Mr Sheridan will play the part of Jim Cheese, the coster dogtrainer, and Miss Heba Barlow will ap« pear as Liza Shodham, hie sweetheart. The principals will be supported by. Miss Ray Jones, Mr’ Avalon Collard (tenor), Mr Jean d© Lacy (baritone), eight kangaroo dancing girls,, and a picked company of fifty performers.
