ENTERTAINMENTS.
The Waikari Oddfellows’ Hall was crowded on Now Year’s Night, when the Variety Entertainers gave a successful performance. Miss Lilian Raymond sang the '“ Blue Bells of Scotland,” “ Coming Through the Rye,” and “ ’Twas Within a Mile,” Mr C. J. Farrant’s voice was hoard to advantage in “ Macgregor’s Gathering,” “ Mary of Argyle,” and a “ Pack of Cards.” Mr Dickey’s ventriloquial acts, songs and dances were much appreciated, as was also Mr F. Dickey’s Irish Jig. A Caledonian ball took place after the performance, and attracted a good attendance.
