PREMIER AND CARDINAL

* A REPLY. United Press Association—By Electrio Telegraph—Copyright. SYDNEY, January 2. The assertions of Cardinal Moran a few days ago, in which he attacked the people of Sydney on their attitude towards the Federal capital question, and presuming to speak on behalf of the people of New South Wales when expressing an appreciation of Air Deakin’s action, has elicited a reply from Air Carruthers. The latter says the Cardinal is a Home Ruler for Ireland but not for New South Wales. His utterances are those of a citizen whose vision is perverted by strong sympathy with Air Deakin and antipathy to Mr Reid and himself.
