Ho cannot extend the time between the local option polls. He cannot eliminate the reduction issue* ho cannot- interior® with the present method of elective . committees. He cannot, in short-,'.do ' a single thing to impair the people- • : control of the traffic. Having made these statements, will you bo good enough to tell me when and where tlie Premier made this pledge of which you speak? Will you also tell me if it * nob a v fact ■that the Premier has unsuccessfully to alter each of the three issues mentioned? We have each of ns onr own. way of thinking, . but one has only to look over the pages of “ Saints and Sinners ” to see where Mr Seddon stands in the trade s estimation.
