BEER AND BEER.

TO THE EDITOR. Sir,—Since the last election I. have been visiting a good many hotels in Christchurch, and I find all the publicans very jubilant over the result. Now, I should like to point out to both the brewers and the publicans,, as one of many thousand beer drinkers, that they have been the cause of making so many teetotallers, through the, quality and price of beer. Half the beer mad. in some of our breweries is not fit for human use. If you. drink, a pint or sc you feel like a poisoned pup for a day or two. Then, again, you can get Dunedin beer, the best in New Zealand, in Wellington, Auckland, and anywhere else, at 4d per pint.—l am, etc., ■ REFORM.
