Dr Ball arrived from the north by the s.s. Mokoia on Saturday morning. Sir Joseph Ward, who passed through Christchurch on Saturday, caught the Maheno at Dunedin yesterday and went on to the Bluff. He will pass through Christchurch again oh his way north on Thursday or Friday. The Rev A. Blafciston, vicar of the Tinwa-ld parish, has been appointed to the Mount Somers charge in succession to the Rev H. Purehas.
