Mr George Fowlds,'M.H.R., intends leaving Auckland on Monday on a trip to England by way of South Africa. His visit Home is for the purpose of attending his father’s centenary birthday anniversary. Mr W. H. P. Barber, member for Newtown, is on a visit to Christchurch. ' Visitors -to Christchurch include Messrs D. M’Phsrson and G. F. Watts (Wellington), B. Buttle (Auckland) and Gifford Moore (Palmerston North). Mr and Mrs W. H. Montgomery (Little Ttiver) arrived in town yesterday morning. Mr W. B. Scott, formerly of Christchurch, who returned from South Africa by the s.s. Tongariro, arrived here yesterday morning, having come from Wellington in the Mararoa. Colonel Hume, Captain and Messrs J. Graham Low and T. E. Donne left for Wellington yesterday evening by the s.s. Mararoa. Mr A. Millar will leave ror Ashburton this morning, where he has been engaged to sing the bass soles in the Christmas production ot the ijessiah.” ; , i Among the passengers to Wellington last evening were Messrs G.
